DATES
July 24 - 26 with Suze [Dutch + English]

LOCATION
Hippolytushoef, The Netherlands

WHAT
Would you like to learn how to release tension from your body and calm down your nervous system? On this small retreat we will eat mostly plant-based food, offer daily yoga classes and therapeutic practices and get the health benefits of it. We offer two nights on a Dutch farm, on a former Wadden Sea island, an evening yoga nidra and optional massages.

TEACHER
Suze
[Msc] has a background in Psychology and is a certified Yoga teacher and Yoga Nidra Facilitator, teaching yoga since 2006. She is also a certified Body Oriented Trauma Therapist and Orthomolecular Therapist. She combines this with specific practices like TRE® [Trauma Release Exercises], Functional Range Conditioning [FRC®] and Family Constellations in her private practice in Amsterdam.

During the retreat she will dive into a program filled with strong vinyasa yoga classes, somatic practices, TRE®, yoga nidra, lectures on the nervous system, fascia system, psoas, vagus nerve and more.

You will learn about the functioning of your nervous system, how it relates to your sense of wellbeing and how to regulate it.

Even though these practices are powerful and healing, the approach during the retreat is lighthearted and geared towards offering you the tools to navigate your own life experiences during and long after.

LOCATION
We offer two nights in a beautiful restored barn at the north of The Netherlands, three kilometers from the Wadden Sea. The large open kitchen is the beating heart of the barn, surrounded by various seating areas, dining tables and a lounge corner. The mezzanine on the first floor is ideal for yoga. The light that enters through the stepped skylights of the wooden structure creates a special atmosphere.

The barn has nine bedrooms, single, double and triple, that are equipped with single box-spring beds, a desk and a private bathroom with rain shower. The beds are made up with linen and towels are provided.

Sustainability is the core of the place optimally insulated and gas-free and is heated and cooled by a geothermal heat pump. There are no less than a hundred solar panels on the roof of the barn and there are charging points for electric cars.

Bicycles are available to rent.

FOOD + DRINKS
We will share homemade meals, mostly plant-based, think of creamy bean dips, a variety of tomatoes with peaches and stracciatella, miso frittata with mustard greens and tahini brownies.

We believe that making healthy choices in life doesn’t have to be hard at all, food that will not just nurture your body, but is tasty at the same time. Our focus lies on sourcing the best produce from Puglia, we work directly with farmers who love their craft.

We can accommodate most special food requests. If you’re looking for a small retreat nestled in nature nearby the sea than this one is for you.

HOW TO REACH
The farm is located in North Holland, as the crow flies less than three kilometers from the Wadden Sea. The location has an end of the world feel, but is in fact via the A7 motorway easily accessible from the Randstad [conurbation Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht].

By train:
Direction Hoorn: from Hoorn take bus 135 in the direction of Den Oever. A mobi point has been set up in Den Oever where you can use a shared car or bicycle. From the bus station in Den Oever it is a beautiful, five-kilometre walk along a [cycle] path on the Wierdijk.
Direction Anna Paulowna: from the station take bus 658 to the bus stop Hippolytushoef. From there it is a two kilometer walk to.
